Bulldog Film Distribution is a fully independent film distributor specialising in the acquisition and distribution of media content in the UK and internationally. They have highly experienced management team, and have a rapidly expanding all genre library of high quality titles.
This company is a subsidiary as appose to major film distributers and conglomerates such as Walt Disney Motion Pictures, Warner Bros, Paramount etc. This film company is not limited, as the website states that it is "An independent UK film distributer releasing films across all platforms." Making it more than likely to distribute films that people make themselves, as long as the standards are good enough. This company distributes most genres of film as on the website you can choose out of 15 (Action, Animation, Mystery, Romance, Biographical, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, Historical, Family, Horror, Music, Science-Fiction, Sport and Thriller.) This distributor will be good to use for our film as it has a wide range of genres to choose from and does not expect the films to have star actors within them.
WARP FILMS
Warp films is a company which is based in Sheffield and London UK. It is an independent film and television company which distributes films. Since it started, Warp Films has worked hard to earn it's place as one of the most exciting and respected UK production companies. It has produced films such as Submarine, This is England and Four Lions. These three films all have a unique storyline which is why I believe having WARP Films to distribute our film is a brilliant idea. We have a very unique storyline that some companies may dispute about as it is different, however seeing that WARP give people with creative storylines a chance made me realise they would be the perfect company. They work with commissioners, writers and directors as they know how to support creativeness.
BRINK VISION
In a bold yellow print, the minute you visit Brink visions website, the colours read to you "Indie Films Worth Watching." What Brink vision's aim is, is to allow films which deserve recognition, to get the recognition they need! It is their mission to acquire films that are individual and distribute them. Brink Vision said that they will continue to adapt to the future of distribution while providing our audience with the best film has to offer as independent cinema has evolved and they have evolved with it. Due to our film having a unique story line, low budget and being independent, Brink Vision will be the perfect company to work along our side. Despite them not being as big as Walt Disney or Universal, they recognize good storylines that deserve to be seen.
The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
TWDSMP (The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures) is one of the world most successful conglomerates. It is an excellent film distributor, distributing films that have crossed the $1 billion mark at box office, making them one of the most popular distributors within the world. This company would be a dream to have distribute our film, however with them being so popular they wouldn't distribute a short and low budget film. In addition to this, most of TWDSMP's films are suitable for children and families to watch however with ours having mature themes, images and language it would not be the right distributor.
Paramount Pictures
Paramount Pictures is a highly successful distribution company which distributes films with a variety of different film genres from children and family films such as Shrek, to tear jerkers such as Titanic and finally chilling psychological thrillers such as 10 Cloverfield Lane. This company does not seem to limit the genres in which it produces as appose to The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The versatility of the company makes it a possibility for our film to be released as it is a thriller. Films within this distribution company that are thrillers include Paranormal Activity, The Lovely Bones and Area 51. They release films that can appeal to any age range, giving a wider demographic. This company however would not be able to distribute our film due to the popularity of it, considering we are on a low budget.
